Gaming Recap | March 2026

Hi, it’s been awhile huh? This year has been such a blur for me. I guess this is my first gaming recap of 2026! Wow, so much for consistency. Well, there’s always the ability to try again — just don’t have your hopes high. I’m in a bit of a gaming rut right now. Which sucks almost as much as a reading one. Looking back at my previous post, I guess I have a lot to talk about.

I haven’t been playing very many demo’s this year although I’ve been grabbing a few here and there that I keep meaning to play, and since I’m in a gaming rut I guess now would be a great time to try them!

Disney Match 3D is one that I’ve been hooked on, I’m already on level 260-something. It’s an interesting take on a puzzle game and I’m absolutely enjoying it and enjoying trying to beat my own time. Plus the theme stages are so cute.

Jigsaw Puzzle+ on Apple Arcade is another one. Since doing jigsaw puzzles on Heartopia I’ve been into jigsaw puzzle’s and while finding a good app is hard to find, I’m alright with this one. There’s another one I play on my PC also.

Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom also on Apple Arcade is what I’ve been playing on my MacBook Neo. I’ve tried playing it on the iPad and I really hate playing games on the iPad, it’s just so uncomfortable, especially when laying down. Maybe it would be better for me on a mini but on a full sized iPad, nah. So I figured I’d try it on my MacBook and see if I could keyboard it and while I can, I’m not sure what the object of the game is??

Cooking Mama: Cuisine! on Apple Arcade was one I gave a try recently. I loved the Cooking Mama games back on the Wii and the Nintendo DS, it’s been awhile since I’ve played a Cooking Mama game so it took me a bit to get back into it and before I knew it I was unlocking shit left and right.

Unpacking+ I just now realized I’ve been playing a bit of Apple Arcade games… but this one is the most talked about cozy game so I figured eh why not however when it comes to these types of games I have no idea what I’m doing or what the purpose is…? I mean you learn about the person who’s stuff you’re unpacking but I didn’t get that during my gameplay, maybe it takes a bit more time?

Heartopia ya’lllllllllllll I was madd obsessed with this game when I started it. It’s SO cute and I’m a sucker for all things gatcha (I blame GoGaia and Neopets for this). I’m horrible at building but I love finding all the bugs, fish and other things. They have events constantly so that also helps. And their gatcha themes are always so captivating… and hurts my wallet lol.

Starsand Island finally released and now that the full game is out… it feels a bit more overwhelming lol! I’m having so much fun in the mines though — which is a given considering how much I love mining on any game.

Cult of the Lamb became a game that me and the toddler started playing together. It’s so cute and dark! I don’t know how to manage my base all that well just yet but this is the game concept of my dreams for sure lol!

Don’t Starve Together I gave this one a go finally because of the Twitch drops it had going on during one of the events — yeah, that’s all it takes to get me to finally try a game I guess lol! This one is a bit more complicated for me to understand. Like. How to stay alive. It feels like an adult version of 99 Days in the Forest which I still have problems with lol! But it’s so cute!! A friend of mine has been making tip videos on YouTube and on TikTok, it’s so cool to see!

Mewgenics! I.. couldn’t get into this one as much as I thought I would. I’ll give it another try at some point, I think I need to watch some videos on how to play this one. The toddler who loves cats enjoyed watching me play — or struggle to play — this one.

POKOPIA obviously. Who isn’t playing Pokopia?! However it also contributed to my burn out lmao. I’m not too knowledgeable when it comes to Pokemon so all mine have weird ass nick names. I’ll stream it eventually, I just wanted to enjoy the game without doing all the content stuff and I’m so glad I did! It was a nice break.

Neopets Mega Mini Games I didn’t give this one too much time just yet. But I LOVE NEOPETS so I was super excited to hear about this game releasing. If you’re expecting the OG Neopets games though, you won’t find that here. These are completely different games.

Hollow Knight I gave this a go when I first got my G Cloud a few years ago and played it through my Xbox gaming sub thing but I didn’t really like it too much on the G Cloud. I figured I’d give it another try on the Switch and I enjoyed it a bit more. The map is insane and since it’s a side scroller there aren’t many directions to go in lol. They don’t give you too much help as you go on, but finding out what things are and having things click together as you play is one of the fun aspects!

It’s the haul of the year so far basically lol.

Lost & Found Co was a demo I played when they released it some Steam Next Fests ago so of course I had to pick it up when it finally came out! Same with Never Grave, I’m surprised this one was even released since the demo there wasn’t much updates on it.

And yes, the insane amount of demos I have yet to get into.
