Gaming Recap | April 2026

This month I got back on FFXIV so there isn’t much else to report on. I do hate that whenever I jump back on FFXIV that’s the only game I tend to play. Like I don’t have the energy or mind space to play anything else. Kind of sucks, for sure. I guess it’s expected though since there’s so much to do on FFXIV that the game feels almost never ending. Like you will never complete everything it has to offer. It’s an overwhelming thought, for sure.

Mobile Gaming;

As far as mobile gaming goes, I’ve still been playing Disney Match 3D. I did pass level 800 though and that’s pretty insane. I’m trying to complete the card decks to get The Evil Queen but it’s a lot harder than I thought it would be — I’m running out of time so I don’t think I’ll make it. Sigh.

Cat Trip – Hidden Objects Game This game is so cute! The thing I love about these hidden objects games is the idle things the distractions do. Like there’s one level where two cats meet at the fork in the road and have a random break dance battle. There’s another one where a cat is in a sleeping bad and scoots around the screen like a slug. It’s all so random lol! And it’s actually pretty challenging. The only thing is you don’t unlock the next scene until you hit level 6 of the previous scene.

Steam Gaming;

I haven’t really touched any of my games on Steam, despite buying games on Steam lol.

Palia Did come out with a new expansion and I’m slowly working my way through it, the map is insane and huge. I haven’t unlocked any of the new characters yet but there’s one I’m looking forward to meeting.

Final Fantasy XIV;

I managed to power through the rest of the Endwalker MSQ and finally finished it omfg. I also managed to hit level 100 on my WHM class as well as on 2 crafters and every gathering class except Fisher. Now I’m working my way through the DawnTrail MSQ and I’m not really into the story. I don’t know if it’s just because I’m MSQ burned out but I’ve just been skipping most of the cut scenes. The dungeons are getting progressively harder to heal with the limited AOE heal’s and it’s making me really aware of how lacking WHM is in DPS, which I know they’re not suppose to be heavy on the DPS but people do complain if you don’t DPS so it’s a hit or miss kind of thing.

Axelyn has gone through many changes over the last 10 years but this is one outfit I really like. The hair is also super cute. I wish more healer gear looked like this instead of huge puffy robes or something. I can’t imaging healing in that would be comfortable.

I really enjoyed meeting and learning Zero’s story and I wish there was more of it! I love how this whole section made me question my mortality and what it means to be a kind person and a team player. There are few additional characters we come across that really live rent free in my head for years after, I’m sure Zero is going to be one of those characters.

Haul of The Month;

Yikes I just realized the screenshot covered A Story Life, I appreciate that it’s playable on my MacBook. I get that most of the games aren’t optimized for it (hell some of the iPad apps aren’t either and that confuses me), so it’s curious to see which ones are! I’m a sucker for all things Guilty Gear and Dynasty Warriors so you’ll see a lot of those popping up from time to time.

I did try Bitcraft Online for awhile and while it seems okay.. I can’t get behind the lack of character creation and how big the map is. I do think if I gave it more time I would probably like it a lot more but… I just wasn’t convinced.
