Steam Next Fest is one of my favorite times of… well I think it’s more than once a year.
There were so many demos I wanted to give a try to but realistically, what am I gonna play?! Yes, I did download them all, I really need to be better at what I download because my poor C Drive can’t handle this abuse lmao.
So here are a few I do plan on absolutely playing;

Lost & Found Co was a demo I had played earlier this year? Late last year? I want to say some time last year because it’s what got me into these find the… games and had me finishing the whole series of Hidden Through Time after I was done with the demo. I am so excited for this game, and I can not wait until it’s released. I also can not wait to dive into the new demo update!
Cats Visiting Fairy Tales is another searching type game that looks super cute. I’ve honestly really enjoyed these. I’m a sucker for brain exercise activities and especially games. I grew up playing Tetris against my dad, Mario on Nintendo with my brother and learning Solitaire when we had to suffer through 56k and every webpage took 8 full minutes to load. Puzzle games of any type is my jam. I’m super excited for titles of this upcoming genre.
Cottonville has gotten some talk. Some good and some not so good. The concept of this game is super interesting and cute. The game play does remind me a lot of Cozy Grove. I backed this game on Kickstarter before they decided to take down the page (or they were suspended, either way the page was down and according to their birb account said that they were moving pages, idk). While I’m super excited for how cute this game looks, I think I’ll wait until it’s released on Steam to buy it.

Cozy Organizer is a cute cozy game where you pretty much just organize stuff. I’m not much into games like this but the art and the graphics are so dang cute and colorful and just.. it looks like a game that would give me the serotonin boost I need. Looking at their Steam page, it looks like they have a couple of titles up for Next Fest as well as the games they’ve already released has similar game art!
Fischer’s Fishing Journey is one of those keep at the bottom of your screen idle things. I have yet to dive into this genre but it always looks so cute (and distracting, but in a good way). Catching fish and bugs is one of my favorite things to do in games so watching this happen will give me a sense of gaming accomplishment while I’m working on other things. Win win, amirite?
Monument Valley III I played Monument Valley on my iPhone years ago and I loved it. I was so sad when the game was done. I have 2, but this is one puzzle game I’m always looking forward to playing.

Not Monday Cafe is a game where you harvest your own crops in order to fill orders at your cafe. Like honestly, foraging? Cooking? Designing a cafe?!? What more could I (a former pastry chef major and total foodie who is especially drawn to cute cafes) ask for??
Witchy Business made by the same company as Cozy Organizer, this game takes on a witchy shop vibe. Again, the art and graphics are so stinking cute and ya girl is one who dabbles in magick (I’m a white mage in game and in real life, no worries guys) so this is totally up my alley.
Undusted: Letters From the Past seems like a heart tugging story telling game. I’m not much in the mindset for anything too emotional (I won’t be jumping back on Cozy Grove any time soon and the Prismbeard quest on Palia was enough to make me tear.. almost) but this looks so interesting. There’s something relaxing about cleaning… but on a virtual game lol.
I know there are a tonnnn more titles to choose from and honestly I didn’t include every title I picked up for Next Fest but these are the ones I’m going to try by best to get into. The niche for cozy gaming is exploding and I’m not sure I have the time to indulge in it all lol.
What did you pick up for Next Fest? What are you most excited for? Let me know in the comments!
